We had a wonderful stay in this charming hotel on the banks of a river. The room was clean and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the flower-filled balcony. The breakfast buffet featured a variety of hot and cold dishes, and we could eat on the terrace overlooking the beautiful scenery. Although it was a bit of a trek to the city center, we appreciated the peacefulness of the residential location and the ample parking. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we even enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant after checking out.
The WiFi connection was a bit spotty and took a while to connect.

The hotel was located on a quiet street, with some rooms overlooking a river. The rooms while small were clean and adequately appointed. The decor on the first floor was very traditional German furniture and old pieces of equipment. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the portions were generous and very tasty. Please note that the entrees include a salad, had we recognized that we would not have ordered the soup, but all of the food was excellent-NO complaints. The breakfast (included) was pretty standard - solid with some hot food in addition to cold cuts and cereals. A good value for the money. We stayed here as we flew in from the us to Frankfurt and were on our way to Berlin. By stopping overnight in Giessen we were able to recover somewhat from the flight, avoid the Frankfurt traffic the next morning and be an hour towards Berlin. A good choice!
I do wish they had an English menu, my German is a bit rusty, but the staff, while not fluent in German was very accommodating and had a good sense of humor with my attempts at German-I have no complaints.

This hotel offers excellent value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location by the river creates a charming neighborhood atmosphere, perfect for enjoying dinner in the beer garden and watching the boats go by. The friendly and helpful staff make you feel welcome right from check-in. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, some even offering balconies for a lovely view.
No negatives to mention.

The hotel is conveniently located by the river, perfect for an evening stroll or bike ride. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of hot and cold food. The hotel also offers free car parking.
The rooms and bathrooms were on the smaller side and could use a more thorough cleaning. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable.

Molly
The location was great as it was in a calm and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing Xmas. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always happy to help. The parking spaces were ample and free, which was a plus. Additionally, the interior decorations were lovely and added to the wonderful atmosphere of the hotel.
There were some negatives during my stay. Firstly, the rooms and bathrooms were too small for my liking. Additionally, the dinner service was poor, with limited outdoor seating available. The door locks were also loose, which was concerning. Furthermore, the WiFi was very poor and took over an hour to connect to, with multiple interruptions throughout my stay. Lastly, there was a lack of ice available, and I had to go to a nearby grocery to purchase some.
